The Popular Show Campaign 4 Unveils the Soldiers Group

Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with rich lore, a diverse cast of characters, and a thrilling plot featuring divine entities, demons, and sinister influences growing in influence within Dol-Makjar.

Warning: Key plot points for the third episode of this adventure follow below.

The Soldiers Table Introduced

The latest chapter concluded with a dramatic pause and revealed the initial group of characters who will branch out from the primary party to undertake their own adventure, separate from the remaining groups.

The combat-focused team consists of Teor Pridesire (played by the voice actor), Thimble (Laura), the fierce warrior (Whitney Moore), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie).

The Reason for Division

Given a large ensemble, it was clear from the beginning that having everyone at the same party would be unworkable.

Hence, the first four episodes of Campaign 4 serve as an Overture, weaving together the individual narratives before splitting into three distinct groups: Soldiers, Strategists, and Explorers.

Characteristics of the Warrior Group

As described by the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for players who prefer a typically action-packed fight-heavy gameplay experience where non-violent answers are rare.

Initially, characters like the reluctant priest the cleric might appear mismatched, but the developments of the latest installment make it clear why these particular heroes are best suited for the Soldiers table.

Why They Must Go

For one thing, the party understands precisely where to head next after a brutal initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.

Casimir of Thjazi—whose death kicked off the campaign’s events—used the foes for his selfish purposes, invading the secret base, assaulting Thimble, and swiping all the enchanted items to auction.

The antagonist then settled his obligations and escaped to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, north of Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.

Individual Reasons

Additionally, each member has a specific drive to depart Dol-Makjar:

  • The agile hero, as the companion and trusted friend, seeks vengeance.
  • The adventurer has experience in Timmony and cautions that it is a hostile location.
  • The strong character and The healer, having resisted his family’s wishes to execute Teor and instead rescued him, have no safe haven.
  • However, their reputation as key figures in House Halovar could enable the team enter locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Moreover, Teor vowed a eternal obligation to The savior for his rescue and will now follow him everywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Lastly, all of them are hunted by the powers that control Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making remaining behind dangerous:

  • Thimble and The character are known criminals.
  • The strong figure and The cleric turned against House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are partnered with.
  • Teor is wanted dead by the clan.

This results in them few options but to travel to the northern region in pursuit of the traitor.

Upcoming Developments

From episode three’s Cooldown, we learn that the combat party won’t be around next week, leaving the other eight participants to assemble the Seekers and Schemers parties.

Viewers can expect learning which players will be where in the story’s last Overture episode, available to watch on the upcoming Thursday.
